Secret EFX is an Italian brand founded by Luca Cesaroni.
He has worked in the music and guitar industry for many years, and started the brand to create products that he needed but which didn't exist in the market.
The main electronic circuit design is done by his friend, Guido Borghesani.
Guido is a professional engineer who has worked in various fields, from audio equipment to medical equipment and contemporary art, and is highly trusted.
One of the appealing features of Secret EFX is its distinctive enclosure, an idea that Luca came up with while browsing in a shop selling military surplus.
I met Luca at a guitar show in Europe.
I immediately understood his passion for guitars, his respect for artists, and his wonderful personality after talking to him.
He explained each product to me on the spot, demonstrating their sounds, and I was completely convinced before deciding to form a partnership.
The Awake Clean Tube Preamp is a clean booster with a vacuum tube core.
It is positioned as the successor to the brand's Awake Clean Tube Booster.
While the name has changed to "preamp," the basic specifications remain largely the same, positioning it as a one-knob booster.
It enhances the full range of the guitar or bass without losing its inherent harmonics.
Basically a pure, simple pedal with a wide dynamic range, its distinctive feature is the strength of the low-mids.
You can feel a slight push in the so-called low-mids around 100-300Hz. This frequency range is where you often feel the fullness in both guitar and bass, and this clearness will likely appeal to many.
A high-cut switch has been added from the previous model.
This allows for a sound output that is more focused on the low and mid-end.
This will be useful for guitar solos and traditional bass sounds.

Used Basses: We will repurchase at 70% of your original purchase price.

Buy-Back Validity Period: The buy-back at 70% for used items and 50% for new items is valid for six months from the date of purchase. After six months, items will be evaluated and purchased at our standard trade-in rates.
Buy-Back Shipping and Tax: For buy-back items, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs and applicable taxes for returning the item to GIB.
