Roger Mayer is a legendary audio designer known for his work as an engineer who supported Jimi Hendrix's sound. (Titles omitted)
This model is an early version of the brand's signature "Voodoo Bass."
In Japan, it enjoys immense popularity as the main equipment of Seiji Kameda (Tokyo Jihen, etc.).
It features a unique drive sound that is somewhere between distortion and fuzz, rough yet warm.
It produces a thick, gritty tone that has an overwhelming presence in an ensemble without sacrificing the bass's original bottom end.
This intuitive, extremely thick distortion sound is undoubtedly the reason why it has continued to fascinate so many bassists for so many years.
It is a masterpiece that I would definitely recommend as a main distortion pedal that forms the core of a band's sound.
There are some minor scratches and signs of use. There is some crackling noise in the potentiometer; turning the GAIN knob all the way up results in no sound.
This item will be delivered after thorough inspection by GIB's craftsmen.
