Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)
The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.
This is a 1973 Jazz Bass.
The serial number ""404700"" on the joint plate corresponds to the 1973 serial range.
The tone pot date ""304-7239"" also indicates it was made in 1973.
Furthermore, the black block inlays and binding are specifications only used on models manufactured between 1972 and 1973.
The age was determined from other specifications.
The body is alder, and the neck and fingerboard are maple.
While the 70s might bring to mind the Ash and Maple combination, the Alder and Maple combination, with its light midrange, is also highly recommended.
The fretboard is adorned with black binding and block inlays, giving it a distinctive look.
The frets and nut appear to be original.
All pickups have been replaced with Fender Custom Shop parts.
The fast, tight attack characteristic of the 70s is distinctive, yet the open midrange nuance is a unique charm of this Alder and Maple combination.
The frets have approximately 50% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition. There is a slight buzzing sound on the 1st string from the 12th fret onwards, but it is not audible through an amplifier.
The body and paintwork show numerous scratches, dents, paint chips, and cracks.
The electronics are in good condition. All pickups have been replaced with Fender Custom Shop parts.
Two volume pots have been replaced with current CTS pots, and the capacitors have been replaced with Emerson pots.
