ZON is a bass guitar brand established in 1981.

Its designs, which actively incorporate new materials such as graphite and phenowood, are highly regarded, and it is favored by musicians such as tetsuya of L'Arc-en-Ciel and Michael Manring. (Titles omitted)

ZON has several models, but this one is the SONUS, which incorporates a classic style.

Unlike the LEGACY, which has a set-neck construction, the SONUS has a bolt-on neck joint.

It has a quick response and attack, and can be said to be a model that aims for a somewhat Fender-like sound.

The body is probably ash.

The neck is carbon fiber, and the fretboard is phenowood, a combination typical of the brand.

Phenowood is made by laminating multiple layers of wood, impregnating them with black dye and hardening resin, and compressing them at high heat.

The expansion and contraction rate of the wood itself becomes extremely small, and it has a much higher stability than ordinary wood.

The pickups are Bartolini. The control section has been completely replaced with an Artech Sound unit.

While producing a clear and transparent sound, it never sounds inorganic, and the combination with high-quality wood materials results in a sound rich in harmonics.

The quick and crisp response produced by the carbon neck and phenowood fingerboard is also a major attraction.

This guitar possesses a truly refined balance while simultaneously exuding a noble impression. Why not consider it this time?

The frets have approximately 80% remaining.

The truss rod is not included in this model. Currently, there is a slight forward bow.

The neck is slightly forward bowed, but it can be played without problems with GIB standard adjustment (2.0mm~2.5mm at the 12th fret). The neck pickup on the 1st string side only goes down to 2.0mm when the last fret is pressed down.

The body and paintwork are such that the pickguard around the control section is slightly raised due to the screw placement, but this does not affect playability. There are some dents and scratches.
The electronics are in good condition.
The control unit has been replaced with an Artech Sound unit, and due to a malfunction, it has been rewired by GIB. A pickguard is installed.
