Description & Condition

Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.

Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.

This model is a 1965 Jazz Bass.

All parts are original to that era; it's what's known as a fully original instrument.

The neck end is stamped "7MAR65A".

All potentiometers are engraved with "304-6520".

The age was determined based on these and other specifications.

The body is made of alder.

It's finished in the custom color Lake Placid Blue.

The worn paint chipping and greenish fading give it a truly vintage bass charm.

The neck is made of maple, and the fretboard is a round-laminated rosewood – popular specifications.

It has a matching headstock, typical of a JB bass.

The presence of paint remaining on the side of the nut, the remaining fretboard, the sanding marks on the fretboard and pearloid inlays (appearing to have been done simultaneously), and the texture of the frets all suggest that it has not been refretted or replaced with a new nut.

Although the fret life is low, the neck is in excellent condition.

It's almost miraculously in such good condition.

This is a bass that can be cherished for many years to come.

The pickups are original gray bobbins.

The capacitor is a Red Dime 0.02μF.

There were no signs of the soldering having been removed.

Of course, there are no modifications to the other parts.

And yet, it plays well and the electronics are in perfect working order.

This Jazz Bass, typical of the mid-1960s, boasts a sharp, crisp sound.

The combination of this sound and a rich, harmonically charged midrange creates a truly vintage feel.

It's perfectly suited for modern music.

Highly recommended.

Fret life is approximately 50%.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paintwork show paint chipping, scratches, dents, and weather checking.

The electronics are in good condition.

No obvious modifications were observed.
