Infinite is a private brand of High-End Music, a repair workshop in Osaka.
The superior quality of their guitars and basses, manufactured with extensive knowledge and refined skills cultivated through repair work, is highly regarded.
This model is based on the JB bass.
While fundamentally traditional, it features unique construction elements, such as the standard-equipped BFTS (Buzz Feiten Tuning System).
The body is made of Selected Alder 2P.
The neck and fretboard are made of Roasted Flame Maple.
Roasted Maple is wood whose oil and moisture content has been adjusted through a special high-temperature treatment.
Originally, it was highly valued as a building material for saunas in Finland, and in the case of guitars and basses, it was put into practical use by Sago in the Kansai region.
The design, which fully showcases the beautiful grain of the Flame Maple, makes a strong impression on this instrument.
The neck is joined deep into the body.
The larger joint area and increased proportion of maple in the neck result in a slightly tighter sound.
The scale length is 33.5 inches.
This is only a 0.5-inch difference from the standard 34-inch scale, but it significantly improves playability without drastically altering the sound.
The pickups are Bare Knuckle.
Handmade in the UK, they are renowned for their wide range and clear sound.
The playing feel is quicker and more responsive compared to traditional style basses.
Yet, the sound boasts deep, fat lows and sharp highs.
This is a superb instrument that skillfully blends a modern style with the traditional JB sound.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show some minor scratches, but overall it is in good condition.
The electronics are in good working order.
No obvious modifications were observed.
