Description & Condition
Spector is a guitar and bass brand founded in 1974 by Stuart Spector in New York.
Initially, Vinny Fodera, who would later establish Fodera Guitars, also worked in the Spector workshop.
The brand's NS model gained explosive popularity worldwide, and this was created in collaboration with Ned Steinberger.
This model is a modern version based on the NS design, with updates for contemporary times.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is made of ebony.
The neck is made of 3-piece maple.
The technique of laminating multiple pieces of wood to create the neck reduces left-right and individual differences, resulting in greater stability.
A major feature is the brand's first multi-scale design.
The 34-37 inch scale is designed to improve the balance, especially on the bass strings.
It produces a very massive sound in standard tuning, and this remains even when tuning down.
The pickups are EMG 45DC, and the preamp is a Darkglass Tone Capsule.
The controls include a master volume, balancer, bass, middle, and high-mid control.
As you can see, the design is completely different from Fender, but the three-dimensional curved body fits the body exceptionally well, providing perfect balance whether standing or sitting.
The string vibration system is well controlled, resulting in excellent playability.
A light touch produces quick and rich harmonics.
As expected from a brand with a long tradition, this guitar boasts an advanced design while maintaining a delicate balance.
The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork are generally clean.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
