Description & Condition

Three Dots is a Japanese brand created by Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, who has been deeply involved in Sadowsky's production and enjoys the immense trust of many professional bassists, and Okada International.

This model is a PB model based on the traditional Precision Bass, incorporating Kikuchi's intentions to the fullest.

The wood combination is Alder for the body and Maple for the neck and fingerboard.

The body size is slightly smaller than a typical full-size bass, boasting excellent handling that fits the physique of Japanese people and stage work.

Many aspects, such as the neck angle and initial setup, adopt a refined design that has evolved from the traditional Fender style.

A strong emphasis on playability is evident, a nuance shared with early Sadowsky TYO and Metroline Slap Master series.

While Sadowsky basses usually feature original design pickups, this model uses EMG Les Claypool signature models.

It might be surprising given his playing style, but the sound has a relatively narrow range and a massive feel.

It brilliantly achieves the excellent speed and extremely low noise level characteristic of EMG pickups while completely retaining the essence of a Precision Bass.

The Three Dots PB itself has a relatively modern and refined feel in terms of playability.

The approach of deliberately using Les Claypool's signature EMG pickups on this modern foundation works perfectly.

From the thick, cutting tone of fingerstyle playing to the fast response of slap bass, it excels as a key element in ensembles, regardless of genre.

It combines classic charm with modern practicality.

This is an extremely reliable bass that I would definitely recommend to players who love the traditional Precision Bass sound but also seek noiseless, modern playability.

The frets have approximately 60% remaining.

The truss rod is stiff, but I have confirmed that it moves about 90 degrees.

The neck has low, flat frets, but with the string height adjusted to 2.5mm for the G string and 3.0mm for the E string at the 12th fret, it is playable without any problems.

The body and paintwork show scattered dents and scratches. There are two large paint cracks on the body end.

The electronics are in good condition.

No obvious modifications were found.
