The Precision Bass was the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, instantly captivating bassists worldwide.

Its brilliance remains unchanged and beloved even more than half a century after its creation.

Fender Japan started in the 1980s as a Japanese-made Fender, but unfortunately, it has now been discontinued and integrated into Fender itself.

However, the brand's quality is still supported by many artists and continues to be sought after.

This is the PB62-70US, a top-of-the-line model from that era.

It has been modified in several places.

The body is alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

This is a classic combination that produces a rich midrange.

The body color is Ocean Turquoise Metallic.

It is likely a custom color.

A single-coil pickup has been added to the bridge side.

The pickups have also been replaced with EMG PJ pickups.

It possesses the thick low-to-low-mid range characteristic of a Precision Bass, while also offering the clarity of EMG pickups and the crisp high frequencies typical of a PJ layout.

This is a modern, updated instrument capable of handling a wide range of sound shaping.

The frets have approximately 70% remaining.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck shows some high-frequency bowing and a slight forward bow towards the 1st string. It can be played without problems with an adjustment of 0.3mm higher than the GIB standard (2.3mm-2.8mm at the 12th fret).

The body and paintwork show some dents, scratches, and paint chips. There is a paint chip of approximately 15.0mm on the headstock. There are sun-faded marks from a finger ramp on the pickguard.

The electronics are in good condition.

The pickups have been replaced with EMG pickups and the guitar has been modified to a PJ type.
