YAMAHA is a renowned brand that has supported the Japanese guitar industry since its early days.
This is an SB-1C, produced only between 1968 and 1971.
Overseas, it is known by the nickname ""Flying Banana.""
The body is made of Katsura wood.
The fingerboard is rosewood.
The pickups are original.
It has a short scale and a zero fret.
The distinctive looks will catch your eye, but the rich sound of Japanese-made bizarre guitars from this era is also a major attraction.
Recommended for those looking for a unique guitar.
Approximately 55% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck shows signs of high-rise. Adjusting it 1.0mm higher than the GIB standard (3.0mm-3.5mm) will allow for smooth playability. Thanks to the short scale length, this guitar can be played comfortably even with high string height.
The body and finish show dents, scratches, and paint peeling in several places. There is a 3.0mm gap where the neck and body join.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
