The BB series includes the BB3000, which is well known and highly regarded, but this is the BB X. The BB3000 was a through-neck joint model.
The BB3000 uses a through-neck joint, but the BB X uses a bolt-on joint.
The sound is tight, as is typical of Yamaha, but the touch is light, giving the impression of an easy and good sound without more effort than traditional Fender models.
The strings resonate well even with a light touch, allowing for stress-free playing.
The bolt-on design makes it feel more familiar to play than the BB3000, especially when slapping.
