Woofy Basses is GIB's original brand.
The reason we launched this brand was because, while running our store, we were often asked for recommendations for bass guitars, and we needed a brand we could confidently recommend.
Brands like Yamaha, Ibanez, Bacchus, and Fender are great, but because they're not our brands, we can't freely control them. (There are some brands we don't carry.)
For that reason, we needed to create bass guitars we could recommend with complete confidence.
First, we attended local business meetings in China to find factories that offered the right price and quality, and negotiated directly with them.
After comparing many factories, we successfully partnered with a factory with high technical capabilities.
We manufacture our products with strict quality control.
After manufacturing in China, we conduct multiple rigorous quality inspections.
Only high-quality products are imported, adjusted by our expert staff in Japan, and then inspected again before shipping.
The ONE series lineup is narrowed down to the sub-50,000 yen price range, making it especially recommended for beginners.
While we wouldn't say it's the same as a high-end bass, we designed it to provide a safe and reliable option for those purchasing their first 5-string bass or those just starting out.
The Cavalier 4 is a model in the style of a 4-string JB.
We aimed for it to be easy to play and produce a powerful sound.
For beginners, playability is paramount.
If this isn't guaranteed, the instrument won't let them play the phrases they want. The instrument will be the problem, not a lack of practice.
This is extremely important for beginners who can't distinguish between a lack of practice and the instrument.
The nut, neck curvature, string height, and pickup height, which all affect playability, are carefully adjusted one by one by our expert staff in Japan.
Since adjustments are made with the assumption that the bass will be picked up by a beginner, you can start practicing with confidence from the moment it arrives.
Whether we're adjusting high-end models worth over 1 million yen, adjustment requests from professional musicians, or woofy basses, we perform all of our work in the same way.
We don't cut costs in labor.
While pursuing cost-effectiveness, we don't compromise on important parts that directly affect sound and playability.
For example, we use Belden wire for the wiring and Switchcraft #11 jacks for plugs.
These are the standard specifications for GIB repairs and are also used by top brands like Fender, making them a global standard.
We also paid particular attention to the pickups, which are the microphones that pick up string vibrations.
We place importance on achieving clear, distinct sound.
This allows your performance to sound clear and intelligible, and helps create a well-balanced sound even in an ensemble.
While we may not be able to match what you'd expect on a professional stage, we provide a product that beginners can trust.
