Sago is a handmade guitar brand based in Hyogo Prefecture that specializes in fully custom-made guitars that fulfill all customer requests.

Their regular models (although most of them are one-offs), crafted using the knowledge and skills they've cultivated over many years, are also highly acclaimed.

Sago is also a brand trusted by musicians.

Sago artists include Tabuchi of UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, RIO of Mary's Blood, and Kusakari of Sakanaction.

This is an original Defi model, custom-ordered in a 32-35 inch multi-scale specification.

Worth noting is the generous use of rare woods.

The neck is a nine-piece laminate of maple and wenge.

The fingerboard is made of rare Jacaranda (Brazilian rosewood).

It features a neck-through construction, with keyaki used for the back of the body wings and claro walnut for the top.
Claro walnut is a wood also used in high-end furniture, and its appearance is breathtakingly beautiful.

The guitar is equipped with two original humbucking pickups.
Mini switches allow for individual switching between series, tap, and parallel, allowing for a wide variety of sound creations.

This is matched to an original 4-band EQ preamp.
It is relatively natural, and the instrument's original character is not lost even when boosted.

The hardware is also impeccable, with GOTOH GB528 tuning machines and a Hip Shot Solo bridge.

The string spacing is set to a narrow 16.5mm, making it especially easy to play with your fingers.
This also allows for a narrower neck width.

The sound is characteristic of a multi-scale guitar, with a strong fundamental tone and an appealing balance from low to high frequencies.
The piano-like, smooth bass extension provides powerful support for ensembles.

Sago is unique in allowing users to customize the specifications to suit their needs.
And it's only Sago, who brings players' dreams to life every day, who has been able to bring it all together so beautifully and flawlessly.
This is a guitar that fully demonstrates that level of technical skill.

Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is a little stiff, but has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.
The neck shows signs of slight high tilt, but it can be played without any issues with our standard string height of G string 2.0mm & E string 2.5mm.
The body and paint are in beautiful condition with no noticeable scratches.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
