The chances of so-called "bad strings" being mixed into the package are extremely low, and only the highest quality strings are packaged.
Stringjoy strings are made of steel round cores wrapped with the finest American nickel, and are characterized by a good balance between not too bright and not too mellow, as well as an overwhelmingly fast low-end response.
As is typical of handwound instruments, the highs are subdued.
The low end and mids are rich, bringing a convincing bass sound to ensembles.
Unlike strings that sound powerful in the high range, this is a contoured bass that focuses on the more important bands.
