Although not well known in Japan, Stringjoy is highly trusted and popular with professional musicians in the USA.
Stringjoy strings are handmade, and the entire production process involves human hands and strict quality control.
This means that there is a very low probability of so-called "bad strings" being mixed in, and only the best quality strings are packaged.
The Stringjoy is made of steel round core wound with the finest American nickel and is characterised by a good balance between not too bright and not too mellow, and by an overwhelmingly fast low-end response.
High frequencies are subdued, as is the handwound nature of the instrument.
The low end and mids are rich, bringing a convincing bass sound to ensembles.
Unlike high-range, powerful-sounding strings, the bass is more focused and contoured in the more important bands.
It is perfect, for example, for bass sounds that support the 8-beat in rock music or for pop music where the vocals are pleasant to listen to.
The Stringjoy is also carefully handmade from high-quality materials and has a silky feel.
