Sadowsky is a high-end brand from New York that counts top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee as customers.
Until now, Metroline was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing moved to the Warwick factory in Germany.
The Japanese-made Metroline models were highly acclaimed, so there were concerns about a decline in quality, but looking at the actual product, there is no need to worry too much.
The neck feels a little thinner than the Japanese-made ones, and there are also differences in the roundness of the body joint.
The old Metroline also used a solid body.
However, this new Metroline uses a chambered body like the NYC.
This makes it quite light, weighing in the 3kg range, which is a clear advantage.
This model is the signature model of the master Will Lee.
The custom preamp is equipped with a unique mid-boost switch.
This can boost 500Hz or 800Hz.
Each can be chosen with a wide or narrow range and Q value.
Sadowsky's excellent electronics produce a powerful sound even with low string height.
It's also great to play, and overall it seems like a product with great potential.
The PU is said to be different from both the old Metro Line and the NYC, but the sound feels neat and beautifully designed.
It doesn't feel peaky and seems easy to use.

For instruments purchased at our store, you can use the "string vibration setup" (normally 4,400 yen) free of charge forever. (Reservation required)
・ Please present a warranty card with your name written on it.
・ Only the person who purchased the instrument at a GIB or TONIQ physical store or online shop is eligible.
・ Please bear various expenses such as shipping costs.
● Repurchase price guarantee
If you sell the purchased item within 6 months of purchase, we will guarantee the purchase price at our store. The price is 50% for new products and 70% for used products.
●Defect warranty
Products sold by Basic Co., Ltd. are guaranteed against defects. With the exception of some products such as consignments, any malfunctions that occur during normal use within a certain warranty period from the date of purchase will be repaired free of charge (returns and refunds will only be made if this is not possible).
The warranty period is 3 months for used products and 1 year for new products.
