Just like the basses themselves, their high-quality strings are highly acclaimed.
This model is made of stainless steel.
Stainless steel strings typically have a rough texture, which can put many off them.
Ken Smith reduces this roughness by adding an alloy called a nickel alloy.
This results in a balance between the suppleness and smooth feel of nickel strings and the durability and brightness of stainless steel strings.
The ""T"" in the gauge number indicates tapered.
Please note that switching from non-tapered strings to tapered strings will change the string height, requiring adjustment of the bridge (and vice versa).
