This is a high-quality preamp pedal.
It has a wide range of controls, including Treble, HiMid, HMFrea, LoMid, LMFrea, Bass, Volume, and EmuLength.
The Bass control has a 70Hz shelving setting, significantly boosting the low frequencies and making the sound bigger.
In contrast, Treble peaks at 7kHz, with a frequency range slightly closer to the presence, which gives the impression of adding a sparkle to the harmonics.
Because it's peaking rather than shelving, harsher tones are suppressed, avoiding a peaky sound, which is a nice feature.
The LoMid and HiMid control frequency knobs have ranges from 125Hz to 500Hz and 500Hz to 2kHz, respectively, allowing for excellent flexibility.
Because the frequency bands are separated, you can precisely control the mid-range you want to bring out and the mid-range you want to cut.
A particularly noteworthy feature is the PassiveEmu switch.
This reproduces the high-frequency attenuation of passive instruments, allowing you to obtain a natural sound despite the low impedance.
In addition, EmuLength allows you to select the virtual shield length from 3m, 5m, 7m, or 10m; the longer the shield, the stronger the high-frequency attenuation.
This is an extremely high-quality preamp with a highly flexible EQ and simply high-quality sound with a wide dynamic range.
