Ulrich Bass Design is a small handmade bass brand from Germany.
The builder Florian Hertzsch is also a violin maker.
The main characteristic of this brand is that it is a modern bass that is neatly balanced while adopting widely cultivated classical techniques and Spanish guitar construction.
The Retro57 is inspired by the tone of the classic P bass, but finished in a modern style.
The body is made of ultra-lightweight Honduran cedar.

The pickups are Haeussel P old style.

As far as whether it is P bass-like, I feel it is more raw than that, more like an acoustic bass with a piezo PU.
