Steinberger is a modern brand that has revolutionized the world with its groundbreaking designs.
Steinberger made a difference in many aspects, such as the use of materials other than wood and the adoption of a square body design.

This model is a gem from the popular XL series.
It is believed to have been manufactured in the 1990s.

When it arrived, it had metal fret lines, zero frets, and fretless specs.

The fingerboard was thinned and the fret lines were sticking out, so GIB applied epoxy coating on the top surface without changing the fret lines.

With the coating, the zero fret was eliminated and a new nut was installed.
Due to this, a part of the headpiece has been shaved off.

Please understand that we cannot say for sure whether it is original fretless or not, as it is difficult to judge.

The preamp is stamped HAZ.

It may seem more inorganic than a bass made of wood, but it has a strange organic flavor.
The sound image that is never blurred even though it creates an unusual low frequency is a unique characteristic.

The neck is slightly forward warped.
Currently, the string height on the 12th fret is 2.0mm on the 1st string side and 2.5mm on the 4th string side, and it can be played without any sound jamming or chattering.

The condition of the body and painted surface shows some scratches and dullness.
There are no noticeable dents.

The electrical system is in good condition, with a buzzing noise when the balancer is turned.
Otherwise, it is in good condition.

Finger lamps have been retrofitted.
Pickups have been replaced with recent EMG HB.
