Greco is a brand that has been active since the dawn of Japanese guitar making.
They are still manufacturing guitars today, and have a reputation for solid quality.

This is a slightly older PB replica, MERCURY BASS.

Simply put, we think it was manufactured by Matsumoku in 1975, but there are so many points that may have been modified that it is hard to say anything about the details.

Talking about extreme possibilities, maybe only the neck could be a MERCURY BASS.

The frets are roughly 60% remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition. There are numerous small dents. There is a large ding on the head where the wood is visible.
The body and painted surface are in good condition with some scratches and dings. There are also numerous dents with visible wood.

As far as we can tell, we will describe below if it is original or not.

The nut has been replaced. The frets appear to be original but may have been worn. There are numerous mounting holes in the pegs, pickguard, bridge, pickup counterbores, and back of the neck. I believe that these are the lower holes where parts were replaced, but there are no recognizable brands or model numbers for all of the parts currently attached, so I am not sure if they are original or not.
