Don grosh is an American guitar brand founded in 1993.
He is a top builder who originally worked at the Valley Arts factory and has made a name for himself working with top musicians such as Larry Carlton and Lee Sklar.
This model is a J5, based on the 5-string JB.
The rear PU is in the form of two single coils, but can be operated as a single coil by pulling up the volume pot.
So when you want a JB-like sound, you can pull it up and use it in the mixed position, and when you want a Stingray-like sound, you can use it in the rear position without pull-up.
In fact, as a JB it sounded great.
Clear, speedy and attacky.
Similarly, the sound when the rear is played as a humbucking PU is also great, and these points show that the meticulous design and high basic quality of the guitar is what guarantees the final quality.
The shape of the fretboard side, the grip of the neck and the joint with the body are all very well formed, ensuring excellent playability.
Even when the string height is lowered to a certain degree, you feel that there is plenty of room to swing the strings with a lot of power.
The PU is original and the preamp is an Aguilar OBP-2.
The hardware is HIPSHOT and perfect.
All in all, it was a great guitar.
It may not be well known because there are only a few on the market, but it's the best brand out there.
The frets are approximately 75% remaining.
The truss rod action feels a little stiff, but we have confirmed that it works at least 90°.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork are in good condition overall, although there are some scratches, dents and dull parts.
Controls: volume (push / pull - tap), balancer, treble, bass.
Nut width : 48 mm
Pitch between strings at bridge : 19 mm
Year of manufacture : 2014

A Stringjoy, imported and sold by us, is used in the set-up.
