Description & Condition

Momose is based in Matsumoto, Nagano and produces high quality basses and guitars.

The MJB is an ambitious work based on the traditional JB style with unique design details.

This one looks like a very ordinary JB replica, but it is a special one produced as a show model for 2020.
Despite its appearance, it is equipped with special specs.

Lightweight alder has been chosen and used, weighing 4.065 kg (or possibly less than 4 kg depending on strings etc.).
The fingerboard is made of Hakaranda. It is authentic.

The paintwork is all lacquer, giving it an atmospheric look.
The PU is equipped with a Mojotone Classic Jazz Bass and a passive circuit.

It is smooth and comfortable to play, as is typical of Momose, but the main attraction is the big bass that shakes the air with plenty of power.
This is certainly a good JB.

The remaining frets are approximately 80%.
The truss rod is working and the neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paintwork shows scratches and dents.
No obvious modifications were found.
