Description & Condition
Description & Condition
LAKLAND has several lines by grade, and this model is the top grade Made in USA.
The 44-60 is the signature model of legendary bass player Joe Osborn, and has a strong traditional orientation within LAKLAND.
Originally built as a sub for his own pre-CBS Fender bass, the concept was to mix modern elements with nuances as close to that as possible.
The royal specs combine an alder body with a maple neck and rose fingerboard.
The rich middle range and lush overtones are common to traditional Fender J basses.
In addition, it has a slight tightness that is typical of LAKLAND, and the strings feel as if they are plucked the moment they are played.
It is a bass sound that is pleasant to play, and will make you dance in an ensemble.
The quarter-sawn top quality maple used for the neck is strong enough, but is further strengthened by the addition of graphite.
The condition is maintained even in the harshest of environments, a very good thing for working musicians who need to play in all kinds of situations.
The remaining frets are approximately 80%.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition. The grips are slightly darkened from being played. There are some small dents and stains on the head.
The body and paint are in good condition with some dings and scratches. There are two paint cracks on the neck pocket. Metal parts are dull and rusty.
No obvious modifications were found.
