It is loved by countless top artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee.
The Jazz Bass was released with the positioning of a higher-end model of Precision Bass.
Its sharp and clear sound has been loved by many bassists, and even today it enjoys overwhelming support and a shining presence.
This model is a Jazz Bass manufactured in 1978 or 1977.
Serially it is 1977, but the pot date is 1978.
We could not determine if it was replaced or if it was made between 1977 and 1978.
I have the impression that many 1970s JBs are too pale in sound, but this one has a rich low to middle component.
Some people may consider adding an active circuit to this JB, but I would definitely recommend enjoying it passively first.
The holes for the joint screws on the neck side have been filled in and re-drilled, possibly to correct the off-center.
There are approximately 80% frets remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition and the neck is in good condition.
The body and paint are in good condition with some paint peeling and dents.
The setup was done using Pitbull Strings, which we import and distribute at our store.
Please enjoy them as they are high quality strings with a natural sound and bring out the best performance and character of the instrument.
GIB craftsmen will adjust them to make them easy to play before delivering them to you.
