Capurso Guitars is a high brand based in Italy that produces handmade, high-quality basses.
In Japan, it is known as a favourite of bassist Yoshiteru Takahashi and others.

The Spiral is a balanced model, similar to a Fender, but with elements more suited to the modern musician.
As you can see, this one is based on the 5-string PB.
It has a multi-layer finish with sunburst wrapped in beautiful glossy gold.
The neck has a gloss finish and a vintage look.
The shape is quite thin, which is why it vibrates strongly and produces rich overtones.
Capurso often makes necks in this shape and the sense of balance is truly outstanding.
The tuners and bridge are HIPSHOT.
This is standard hardware in the world, but I think there are surprisingly few vintage styles with these on them.
The PU is Nordstrand and the preamp is a modern Italian Xander.
Xander may be unfamiliar to you, but they are a very good brand.
Andrea Capurso, builder of Capurso Guitars, was heavily involved in the design of that preamp.
His ideas are put into his creations, so it is only natural that they are a good match.
It is extremely light to play, and the nuances that make it sound big while responding sensitively to small touches give a good impression.
This is a feeling that can only be found (or so I would like to say) in instruments weighing less than 4 kg, and not many brands can produce this feeling in a 5-string.
The quality of the neck is very high, so the string height (Strings Action) is low in order for the player to feel this.
Personally, I think that a higher string height and a stronger playing feel would be a good fit.
Turning off the preamp gives it an even more vintage-like sound.
You can use it in different ways depending on your preference, and I think it is very practical in both cases.
