Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano, Japan.

It is a brand under the umbrella of Divisor, which owns a large guitar factory called Asuka Factory, and is appreciated by many musicians for its high quality because it is handcrafted by the factory itself.

This model is based on the traditional jazz bass style, but with more advanced specs.

The most distinctive feature of this model is the use of a loin-studded maple neck.

Roasted maple is originally a Finnish technique, and the Kansai brand Sago pioneered its use in musical instruments.

This wood is treated at high temperatures to volatilize moisture and increase rigidity. Naturally, wood that has gone out of alignment during this process is not used.
The result is a high quality product in two ways.

The sound is well-proven, and in a good sense, it does not feel like a new instrument.
It has a wide range and warm nuance, which makes the sound juicy and happy.

It is amazing that the guitar uses a roasted maple neck and yet has an overwhelmingly low list price of 43,000 yen (excluding tax).

The pickups are not conventional single coils, but powerful humbucking types.
This gives it a noiseless and powerful sound.

The versatility of this bass, which can be used for a wide range of rock and pop music, is a major attraction.
We confidently recommend this gem as a sub for those who use a high-end bass as their main instrument, or as a first one.
