HEX Guitars is a Korea-based brand that specializes in products in the entry to middle class price range.

HEX Guitars has its own factory in Indonesia, and the president of HEX Guitars himself lives there to ensure a high level of quality control.

Because the president is passionate enough to go into the field himself, instead of leaving it to other companies' factories, the company manufactures guitars of such high quality that it is hard to imagine from the price.

The NB505 is the newly launched “NEXT SERIES” bass.
It is equipped with modern and substantial specs such as fund frets and active circuit.

The sophisticated body shape is made of Mahogany.

The neck features a laminated design of Maple and Walnut.
By laminating several woods together to form the neck, the left-right difference is reduced and high stability and solidity are obtained.

The fretboard is made of Walnut, and the fretboard radius is 12 inches, which is flat.

The neck shape is relatively thin and slim C-shape.

The frets are made of stainless steel.
Stainless steel is cloudless and has high hardness.

Stainless steel frets are popular because they keep shining forever and are extremely hard to wear out.
They are also used by high-end guitar brands such as Suhr Guitars.

The PU is the original single coil.

They use the original PU in many models.
This is not because of cost cutting, but because they are confident in the quality of the PUs they design themselves.

The staff members who know music and play music on a daily basis have thoroughly researched and designed many elements such as magnets, wires, bobbins, and so on.

It is equipped with an original preamplifier, and a 3-band EQ allows for flexible sound creation.
The frequency range of the EQ is practical: BASS 50Hz, MIDDLE 1kHz, and Treble 6kHz.

Controls are volume (active/passive switched by push-pull SW), balancer, BASS, MIDDLE, and TREBLE. (Preamp gain can be adjusted from the back panel.)

The balance in the hand is very good, and a regular Fender player will not find the HEX NB difficult to play.

The sound is clean and headless, yet it does not lose the musical overtones and fullness of the bass.

The basic quality of the neck area is very high, making it highly playable, and it would be difficult to assert that it is inferior to instruments priced around 200,000 yen.

Overall, this is a great product with high quality in looks, playability, and sound.

You may be put off by the fact that it is a headless instrument, but I urge you to try it for yourself.
You may be surprised at the high quality of the product.

As a side note, I met them at the Sound Messe in Osaka in 2024.
At first, I misheard the price as 6,000USD and put the deal on hold, thinking, “The quality is high, but the price is high, too.

But later I realized that I had misheard and that the price was actually 600 USD, so I immediately contacted them.

A few days later, we had another meeting in Seoul and agreed that GIB, TONIQ would be responsible for HEX's commercial distribution in the Japanese market.

Since then, we have had frequent meetings with them, and we have finally succeeded in starting the sales this time.
