Vivie is an effects pedal brand that gained popularity on the internet.
It is no longer manufactured and Vivie products may become rare.
The basic sound is not as transparent as a studio-class compressor, but more fat and amp-like.
However, it does not sound as loose as the EBS Multicomp or MXR Dynacomp, but a little tighter.
It has a highly unique sound, but is very practical and adapted to the modern bassist.
The simple controls are reminiscent of the classic Multicomp, Dynacomp and Punch Factory, but in fact they go one step further.
The basic controls are LEVEL for volume, TONE to adjust colour and COMP to change the intensity of the sound.
The TONE control has a wide range, allowing you to change the natural sound as well as the sound with more emphasis on the high frequencies.
A special feature is the mini-switch on the side of the body that switches the attack time.
This allows you to easily switch between natural and percussive nuances.
The compressor, which originally required complicated settings, has been combined in a surprisingly simple UI, which is a big attraction for bassists who have to quickly create sounds on the spot or who are fed up with the complicated controls of compressors.
Externally there are slight signs of use, but overall the unit is in beautiful condition. It is in good working order.
