This is a custom made custom base.
It has a hollow body and is extremely lightweight at only 3.125 kg.
A New Old Stock-like piece that seems to have never been played after it was made.
The body uses Light Ash for the back and Burl Maple for the top.
The neck is Half Thermo Hard Maple and the fingerboard is Flame Maple.
The wood, called Thermo wood, was originally a Finnish building material for saunas and is particularly resistant to high temperatures and humidity.
Perhaps due to this, the sound starts up smoothly and has a pleasant response.
Some new basses give the impression that the strings are bent only on the frets, but this bass does not have that negative aspect.
However, the range and tension of the sound are just like a modern bass, and it's wonderful that they are well balanced.
The bridge is HIPSHOT Style B Aluminum.
It has been treated with a drop-down process, and the position of the strings in relation to the body and neck has been adjusted well.
The tuning machine is GOTOH GB707.
The PU is original and the preamp is from Humpback.
The important point is that it is very well balanced and ensures good playability.
I can feel the great power of design ability.
The sound is very neat and JB-like.
However, it is a very good point that you can get a thick and beautiful sound even with just the bridge PU.
Overall, it is of a high level, and is perfect in terms of playability, sound, appearance, and functionality.
There is almost no wear on the frets.
The truss rod works well.
The neck is in good condition.
Although there are some scratches on the back of the body, the condition of the body and painted surface is overall clean and in good condition.
