Greco is a brand that has been active since the dawn of Japanese guitar making.
Fresher was also founded in 1973 with the concept of Fender-style guitars.
This particular Jazz Bass combines a Greco body with a Fresher neck.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, following the classic JB style.
The pickups are thought to be original Greco specifications, and are characterized by clear mid-high frequencies and rich low frequencies.
The sturdy construction unique to Greco and the slim, easy-to-use neck shape unique to Fresher are an exquisite match, resulting in a highly practical instrument.
You can easily experience the charm of a vintage Japanese-made bass.
Don't miss this opportunity to try one out.
Approximately 55% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is stiff, but has been confirmed to operate at about 90 degrees.
The neck is currently adjusted to 2.5-3.0mm at the 12th fret. There is a slight buzzing, but it should not be noticeable when played through an amplifier.
The body and paint show scratches and dents, and show signs of use. There are screw hole marks where a pickup fence may have been attached.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The tuning machines have been replaced with GOTOH/GB528/L4 Cosmo Black, and the bridge with GOTOH/203B-4 Cosmo Black.
The circuit has been newly assembled, including the control plate.
The potentiometers are current CTS, and the jack is Switchcraft.
A wooden finger rest has been added later, and new holes have been drilled in the pickguard.
