Fender is undoubtedly the number one brand for electric guitars and basses.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a premium model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is beloved by many bassists, and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support and a shining presence to this day.

Fender Japan launched in the 1980s as a Japanese-made Fender brand, but unfortunately has since been discontinued and integrated into Fender itself.

However, the brand's quality remains beloved and sought-after by many artists today.

This model is the JB62-115, the top-of-the-line model at the time.

It was manufactured in 1983.

The neck end is handwritten with ""8-26 83.""

There's an A stamp on the neck pocket and a 115 sticker on the back of the headstock, and other specifications were taken into consideration when determining the model.

It's said that Fender Japan serial numbers vary, but this is the legendary and popular JV serial number.

The body is alder and the fingerboard is rosewood, a popular configuration.

The finish is lacquer.

It features a spiral bridge and reverse-wound tuning machines, making it a truly unique instrument.

The neck pickup has been replaced.
It appears to be a relatively high-quality vintage pickup, with features such as a black bobbin, plain enamel coil wire, and cross-wired leads.

The bridge pickup appears to be the original red bobbin.
A red bobbin is a somewhat rare feature found in high-end American Vintage Fender Japan models from 1982-1984.

The quality is excellent, and the sound and playability speak volumes about the richness of Fender Japan's JV era.

The powerful low end, crisp treble, and rich yet sharp sound that are characteristic of a JB are timeless and wonderful.

Approximately 70% of the frets remain.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paint show numerous dents, scratches, and peeling paint, showing signs of use appropriate for its age.

The electrical system is in good condition.

The neck pickup has been replaced. It appears to be a relatively high-quality vintage-style pickup, with a black bobbin, plain enamel coil wire, and cross-wired leads. The bridge pickup appears to be the original red bobbin. The neck pickup volume and tone pots have been replaced with current CTS parts. The control plate screws have been replaced.
