It goes without saying that the balance is very good when you hold it, but I think there is also a positive change in the sound that makes the most of the more powerful electronics.
The control plate and bridge also seem lighter somehow.
Personally, I like the vintage 3-knob Stingrays, and to be honest, I didn't think the current model could be compared to them in a negative way.
However, when I considered this renewed Stingray Special, I found that this thinking was incorrect.
This is an ambitious model that I would recommend to anyone who is also looking for a Stingray, but only wants something vintage or classic.
