Sus bass is a Korean bass brand created by former professional musician Jin Su Lee.

His works that touch the heartstrings of musicians are popular mainly in South Korea, and are used by people such as Yeonjun Lee, who is known for his sessions with SUGA (BTS) and TXT, and Yohan Kim, who is known for his sessions with ITZY. (Titles omitted)

I have been in touch with Jin Su, Yeonjun, and Yohan myself, and we had many discussions about new projects with Sus bass before starting this transaction.

Basically, we place custom orders from GIB, but this one was personally produced by the builder Jinsu, so it's like a private stock.
I requested it and I was able to purchase it.

The body is alder and the fingerboard is maple, a classic design.
The neck is roasted flame maple.

As you can see, it is a relic specification.
If you order with this specification, it will take a long time and a large upcharge will be added.
However, I think you can tell from the photos that the quality is commensurate with that.

The bridge and tuning key are HIPSHOT, and this area has a Western style.

The PU is a custom model ordered from Lundgren in Sweden.
This PU is used by a base brand called Stenback, and although it is quite popular, it is certainly highly regarded for its high quality.

It's custom made for Sus bass, so naturally it's a perfect match.

At GIB, we often order active specifications, but this one uses a passive circuit.

The tone has a tone bypass switch using a push-pull switch. Possible usage scenarios include setting a preset tone, calling it with a single touch, and bypassing it for a wider range of sounds.

In terms of sound and playing feel, it basically feels like a slightly modern 5-string JB.
There is no impression that it is forced towards the fender.

The flow from the low B string to the G string is smooth, and it feels very well balanced and easy to play.
Its appeal is the well-balanced sound, smoothness, and ease of playing throughout the fingerboard.

It feels like the tightly packed, massive low end typical of a maple fingerboard powerfully strengthens the low B and E strings.
This texture is a must-try for those who like the combination of alder and rose.

Personally, I feel the same way about Alleva Coppolo.
It has better balance than the Fender and feels more sticky than the Sadowsky.

In fact, in Korea, it seems to be described as having a feel somewhere between Alleva Coppolo and Sadowsky.

This is a really wonderful book that really shows off Jinsu's personality.
Please try it out at the store.
