The Z7 has an additional PU and a more finely tunable preamp.
The PUs are a set of Sire Premium J+MM.
These can be mixed freely with a balancer.
This is a positive for many, as the Musicman Stingray does not have a passive option either.
The finish of the fretboard and frets is outstanding.
The finish is of high quality, which is not surprising at this price point, but is comparable to higher priced models.
