Sire rose to fame as a brand releasing bass guitars supervised by Marcus Miller.
The quality of the guitars and basses they produce is extremely high, and they are highly popular even among people other than Marcus fans.
This is their new V7 Ash-4 Reissue.
Reissue refers to the re-production of a model that was discontinued due to a supply shortage of Swamp Ash from 2021 onwards.
It seems to have been relatively well-stocked in Japan, so perhaps I was just lucky.
Some models use Poplar Burl tops for an exotic look.
The natural look of the ash is also wonderful, so choose the one you like.
At GIB, we photograph each and every guitar. Please take a look to see the unique differences and find the one that's perfect for you.
The neck is standard maple, not roasted.
This is a matter of personal preference, but we think many people will appreciate this feature.
The finish of the fingerboard and frets is excellent.
Naturally for a bass in this price range, it is finished to a high quality that is comparable to basses in higher price ranges.
It has a tight yet powerful sound that is rich in overtones and has just the right amount of compression.
This is a model that we would recommend to anyone looking for a Marcus-esque sound, as well as anyone simply looking for a high-quality jazz bass.
