Sadowsky is a high-end brand from New York that counts top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee as customers.
Until now, Metroline Express was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing has moved to a factory in China.
The high quality has been maintained while keeping the sales price low, making it a very unique product in this price range.
When the Metroline Express series was first released, it did not have the Sadowsky logo, but this has been successfully changed.
This is the long-awaited new 24-fret modern model.
The body is made of Okoume, and the neck and fingerboard are made of Roasted Maple.
The body balance and sound have been carefully considered, resulting in a very neat balance.
The neck has a satin finish and feels smooth to the touch.
The pickups are soap bar type, and the preamp is the familiar 2-band boost EQ type.
The preamp circuit board is almost the same as that of a top-end model priced at around 1 million yen, which I think is a big advantage.
Controls include volume, balance, bass, and treble.
A push-pull switch allows you to bypass the active circuit and play passively.The powerful, crisp sound sounds a little more flashy than recent NYC models.
Some people might even prefer this model if they listen to the sound alone.It seems that it is not easy to make a product that delivers the same high quality in the same price range.
