Retro Maniac Guitars is a guitar brand founded by GIB in 2023.
The concept is to revive hidden models that existed in the past but are too maniacal to be known, using them as motifs.

While the brand seeks to reproduce the best possible quality, it also assumes that the guitars can be used well in the modern age, and the details have been optimized for today's musicians.
Sago New Material Guitars cooperated with us in the production of this product.

This first product, as you can see, is a replica of a jazz bass.
However, it is based on a prototype made in 1959.

There is very little information about the prototype Jazz Bass made in 1959, but it is said that only a few were produced.
In fact, I have seen one being sold by Kurosawa Musical Instruments in Japan.

This model is based on such a maniac model.
The iconic PU, which is different in the front and rear, was produced as a one-off.

You can sense that it is in the vein of the Jazzmaster, which was developed around the same time.

Sound-wise, it is more fat, with a nuance that the middle range is not too dented.
You could say that the JB is a little more PB than the JB.

When you play the front alone or the rear alone, you will feel the strong push feeling a little different from the JB.

It has a maniacal quality that will make those who know it grin, and at the same time, I think it is a good balance of high practicality and individuality.
