Jad Freer Audio is an Italian audio equipment designer and manufacturer founded by Mauro Freddi and Giada Pezzi.

Mauro is an expert in electronics and audio engineering, and he designs electronic components that meet professional specifications.
Giada supports hardware design, and their combined expertise results in high-quality products.

Originally renowned for producing effects pedals, the company now also produces amplifiers and cabinets.

While primarily popular with European musicians, it is now rapidly gaining attention worldwide.

The reason for this is its CAPO bass preamp.

They call the CAPO not just a preamp, but a ""Multiple Preamp - DI - Saturator - FX Loop.""

This is a crucial pedal that should become the core of any bassist's pedalboard.

This model is the Tim Lefebvre Edition.

This is the signature pedal of Tim Lefebvre, one of the most acclaimed bassists of our time, known for his unique playing style that makes full use of effects and his numerous acclaimed performances with bands such as Tedeschi Trucks Band and David Bowie's Blackstar.

While the standard CAPO pedal features separate A and B preamps, this model only features the A SIDE section.

As a result, the name simply reads PREAMP.

The B SIDE section has been omitted, and a new LOOP switch has been added.

The A SIDE is a clean preamp with ample headroom.

Its extremely natural sound character strongly reinforces the tone while preserving the instrument's original sound.

The saturator section allows you to freely adjust the balance between the different sound characters of the J and F sections, and you can also freely change the mix ratio with the PREAMP.

J has a rich low end and a strong attack.
F, in contrast, is characterized by a strong mid-range and a vintage-like texture.

This blended tone can then be adjusted with a 3-band EQ.

BASS: ±12dB @ 80Hz (shelving)
MID: ±9dB @ 100Hz-10KHz (bandpass)
HIGH: ±12dB @ 4KHz (shelving)

Further refinement is possible with two switches: DEEP, which boosts the low end, and BITE, which adds attack.

This model maintains the same functionality as the standard version, maintaining the CAPO's core concept of freely mixing the contrasting saturation of J and F with an extremely flat preamp.

You can achieve a saturation feel that aligns with your preferred amp-like character while maintaining maximum dynamic range.

In addition to its preamp functionality, this model also features DI, LPF, and loop effect functions.

The LOOP switch functions as a standard effects loop (LOOP PRE) on/off switch, but by turning on the TIM switch, this model's greatest feature, you can operate each loop as an independent circuit at the output.

In other words, when the LOOP PRE's effects loop is on, you can bypass the preamp section.

The DI has two outputs:

PREAMP OUT, which sends out the signal that has passed through the preamp, and LOOP OUT.

When the TIM switch is off, PREAMP OUT outputs the sound that has passed through the preamp, EQ, and effects loop, while LOOP OUT functions as a DIRECT OUT, outputting the driest signal.

When the TIM switch is on, the specifications are significantly different.

When the LOOP switch is on, PREAMP OUT is muted, and LOOP OUT operates as an output that has passed only through the LOOP PRE's effects loop.

When off, LOOP OUT is muted, and PREAMP OUT operates as an output that bypasses the LOOP PRE's effects loop.

If the effects pedal in the effects loop inverts the phase, you can use the phase invert switch to align the phases of DIRECT OUT and PREAMP OUT.

The LOOP POST can also be linked to the PREAMP to control its on/off status, or it can be kept active at all times.

This is a unique control style typical of Tim Lefebvre.

Using these two signals gives sound engineers greater freedom in their work.

The LPF is a high-frequency cut filter designed to eliminate only the necessary amount of unnecessary frequency range.

It affects both the PREAMP OUT and OUTPUT, even when the pedal is bypassed.

You'll see that this is more than just a preamp; it's a high-quality multi-pedal that meets many of bassists' needs.

It also addresses needs that the regular CAPO version could not address.

This is the cutting edge of the industry.

Please give it a try.
