HEX Guitars is a Korea-based brand that specializes in products in the entry to middle class price range.

They have their own factory in Indonesia and do their own manufacturing. This is what differentiates HEX Guitars from other brands that generally manufacture their products on an OEM basis.

Because they are so passionate about their products that they do not leave them to other companies' factories but enter the field themselves, they are able to manufacture guitars of such high quality that you would never guess from the price.

This is a newly started headless style series.

The N600 is a higher-end model with a custom tremolo bridge, FISHMAN PU, and a Roasted Maple x Walnut laminated neck.

The refined body shape is made of Mahogany.
Two rubber feet are attached to the end of the body, allowing the guitar to stand stably without a guitar stand.

The neck is made of Roasted Maple and Walnut 5P laminate design.

Roasted wood, called Thermo wood, is a new material popularized by Sago new material guitars in Japan.
It was originally developed as a Finnish technique to make sauna wood.

Treating it at high temperatures volatilizes the water and oil inside the wood, making it highly stable even at high temperatures and humidity.
In terms of sound, it gives the impression of a richer, more mature sound.

By laminating several pieces of wood together to form the neck, the left-right difference is reduced and a high degree of stability and solidity is obtained.

The fingerboard is made of Indian Rosewood with a compound radius of 12-16" fingerboard radius.
Compound radius has a fingerboard shape that is round in the low position and flat in the high position.

Generally speaking, a round fretboard R is good for playability but prone to sound clogging in the high position.
The compound radius solves this problem.

This technology is used by high brands such as Suhr Guitars and Tom Anderson.

The material of the frets is stainless steel.
Stainless steel is cloudless and has high hardness.

Stainless steel frets continue to shine forever and are extremely hard to wear, which has made them popular among high-priced guitar brands in recent years.

The neck shape is a slim, non-habitual C shape.

Two FISHMAN Fluence Modern Humbucker PUs are installed.
This PU is a very expensive item that sells for over 40,000 yen by itself.

It has a special construction without coils, which reduces the possibility of noise and electrical problems originating from the coils to zero.

Therefore, it is incredibly low noise, and you will feel its superiority as much as or more than EMG.

As for the sound, it is characterized by amazingly fast response, moderate compressibility, and substantial low end.

It is thick from low frets to high frets, and in a sense, it has a lush overtone that is not like an active PU.

In addition, this PU has a character switching function called VOICE 1 and 2.

When VOICE 2 is invoked by pulling up the volume knob, the neck side becomes clearer and more trebly, while the bridge side becomes a little warmer with a thicker mid-range sound.

In addition, the tone knob can be pulled up for coil tapping to create a Stratocaster or Telecaster-like sound.

This is perfect for guitarists who want a lower noise than an EMG, but with the response feel of a passive PU, and need flexibility in sound creation.

The balance in the hand is very good, and if you normally play a Fender or Gibson, you will not find the HEX N difficult to play.

The sound is clean and headless, yet it does not lose the musical overtones and fullness of the bass.

The basic quality of the neck area is very high, making the instrument highly playable, and it would be difficult to assert that it is inferior to instruments priced around 200,000 yen.

Overall, it is a great product with high quality in looks, playability, and sound.

It is not a bad choice for those who want to try a headless guitar once, or even as a first guitar.
