[new] EMG / PB-4 Piezo Buffer [yokohama store]

EMG is a high brand in electronics that develops innovative pickups and circuit systems.
It is highly regarded by many musicians and engineers and has been loved for a long time.

This model is a buffer system for piezo pickups.

By using it, signals with extremely low impedance like those of piezo pickups can be handled in the same way as signals like those of ordinary active PUs.

The following is an example of a system we have actually built using the PB-4.

The PB-4 allows a passive microphone from a keyboard harmonica to be plugged into a guitar effects pedal.
This makes the sound much fatter and has a higher range than plugging it in as is.
This is because the impedance is no longer matched.

The PB-4 and ABC are used to mix the piezo PU on the double bass with the PB PU for EMG's PB.
This allows you to freely mix two PUs with different characteristics without using an external mixer.

This is quite geeky, but may be revolutionary for some musicians.
