There are several models of dragonfly, and this model is the newly started classic JB style CL-DJB4.
We actually played several of these basses and chose the one that gave us the best impression. (Please understand that this is personal preference!)
It is simply a high quality JB, and supports customization in several respects.
GIB specified a Darkglas Tone Capsule as the preamp.
Controls are volume, balancer, treble, middle, bass, and preamp on/off SW.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is maple, a classic wood configuration.
Alder with rosewood is the more popular spec, but actually this one with a maple fingerboard is also a pretty good combination.
It gives the impression of a more solid and strong low end.
The trebly, bouncy response is also attractive.
The sound is good, sharp, powerful, and clear.
I think it is one of the ideal JB sound in the modern era.
