Bacchus is a brand under the umbrella of Divisor, which owns a large guitar factory called Asuka Factory, and is highly regarded by many musicians for the high quality of its guitars because the factory handles the work itself.
In recent years, Bacchus has been vigorously developing headless models, and the high degree of perfection of these new designs is astonishing.
This is the headless WOODLINE model from the newly launched Custom Series line.
Production has already ended, but we were able to pull out a few leftover stock.
The balance of the WOODLINE model, which can be called a modern JB, is superb, and those who usually play fender type guitars will feel the comfort of the missing head.
The body is made of ash, and the fingerboard is Richlite, which is a modern configuration.
The price of ash has been rising in recent years, but Divisor seems to use stable and high quality ash.
Pickups are Aguilar AG 4J-HOT and preamp is Aguilar OBP-2.
The pole piece is large and powerful sounding with a little more windings. The strength of the bass range is characteristic, and when a little treble is added with the preamplifier, it expresses a gorgeous sound that looks great on its own.
The preamp can be bypassed, so you can also enjoy the organic sound in passive mode.
In general, it is like a strategic headless bass designed by a talented Japanese brand. It has solid and reliable quality.
Unfortunately, it is not something that sells a lot, so future resales may not be easy. In that sense, I recommend it. I like it.
