Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano, Japan.
The brand is under the umbrella of Divisor, which owns a large guitar factory called Asuka Factory, and is appreciated by many musicians for the high quality of its guitars because they are made by the factory itself.
This model is an authentic model based on the traditional Telecaster style.
The main feature of this model is the use of a loin-studded maple neck.
Roasted maple is originally a Finnish technique, and the Kansai brand Sago pioneered its use in musical instruments.
The wood is treated at high temperatures to volatilise moisture and increase rigidity. Naturally, wood that has been distorted during this treatment is not used.
The result is a high quality product in two ways.
The sound is well-proven, and in a good way, it feels less like a new instrument.
It has a wide range and warm nuances, which makes the sound juicy and happy.
It is astonishing that this neck is used, yet it is priced at an overwhelmingly low price of 30000 yen (excl. tax).
Its versatility is a big attraction, as it can be used for a wide range of rock and pop music.
We confidently recommend this gem as a sub for those who use a high-end guitar as their main guitar, or for their first one.
