AV Basses is a high-end Czech brand that attracted a lot of attention when Jamiroquai bassist Paul Turner started using their instruments.

The brand was founded in the 1990s by professional bassist Ales Vychodil.

At the time, major musical instrument manufacturers supplied numerous basses to the market, but none met his requirements.

To meet his own needs, he began making custom basses himself.

In the 2000s, the brand began producing OEM basses for Western boutique brands, making its manufacturing technology known to the world.

I first encountered the brand at Guitar Summit in Germany in 2019, and have continued to place orders with them, providing consistent quality.

This model is a 5-string PB model in keeping with Fender's style.

It was on display at Guitar Summit 2025.

This series has been further refined through collaborations with Keith Duffy (The Corrs, Maire Brennan) and Paul Turner (Jamiroquai). (Titles omitted)

The body is made of European alder and the fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood, creating a classic '60s-inspired design.

The body and neck are finished in vintage-style lacquer.

While careful handling is required, these instruments offer a unique look and sound.

The pickups are Nordstrand NP5.
The tuning machines and bridge are made by HIPSHOT.

The circuit is passive, using CTS and SWITHCRAFT.

The smooth, sustained sound is appealing, regardless of string or position.

The generous, big PB sound with a rich midrange will reassure any musician.

Its traditional yet slightly refined tone creates a bass-like sound in many ensembles.

Hardware : Hipshot Vintage style bridge 18 mm (.708"") string spacing, Hipshot Ultralite Clover Tuners, chrome.
Electronic : Passive electronic with Volume and Tone Control, output jack 6.3 mm mono.
Strings: DR Pure Blues Roundwound strings 0.045-0.125 gauge.
Finish : High glossy lacquer on the body ""Tea Green"", the neck in satin matt.

● Lifetime Free Maintenance

Instruments purchased from our store are eligible for a lifetime free ""string vibration setup"" (normally ¥4,400). (Reservation required)

- Please present your signed warranty card.
- Only the original purchaser from a GIB or TONIQ store or online store is eligible.
- Please note that shipping and other related costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

● Repurchase Price Guarantee

We guarantee the repurchase price of your instrument if you sell it within six months of purchase. The price is 50% for new products and 70% for used products.

● Defect Guarantee

All products sold by Basic Co., Ltd. are guaranteed against defects. With the exception of some products such as consignment items, we will repair any malfunctions that occur under normal use within the warranty period from the date of purchase free of charge (returns and refunds will only be accepted if repairs are not possible).

The warranty period is three months for used products and one year for new products.

Please note that even within the warranty period, a fee will be charged for repairs in the following cases:

- Malfunctions or damage caused by transportation, moving, dropping, etc.
- Replacement of consumables.
- Malfunctions or damage caused by fire, earthquake, salt damage, gas damage, or abnormal voltage.
- Malfunctions or damage caused by handling that violates the precautions in the instruction manual.
- Malfunctions or damage to parts repaired or modified by parties other than our company.
- If your name, model name, serial number, etc. are not written on the warranty card, or if the wording has been altered.
- If the warranty card is not presented or is lost.
